As cut and pasted from a comment to Deanne.

Kinda like the CHODE LICKER from Pennsylvania who cut me off this morning, then STOPPED IN THE SLOW LANE to let someone from a YEILDED OFF RAMP on the highway.

Causing me to slam on my brakes.

Causing the guy behind me to slam on his breaks.

Me & the Pennsyltuckian then proceeded to have a 5 minute hand throwing conversation...

and when we passed the exit for 80 west, I kept pointing at it.. screaming "GO HOME!! YOU CAN'T DRIVE HERE!!! GO HOME!!!"

Yet, she wouldn't.

*sigh*

Thankfully, the brakes are new.

Unfortunately, I'm prolly gonna need new tires after laying down that much rubber...

No offense to any Pennsyltukians my list. But I have issues with PA drivers in Jersey. They don't mesh. We don't mesh in PA either. We know this.

I am like, FOUR moves from my vampire goal in the game, and I got robbed, so now I'm fucking FIVE COINS SHY.

And I only have another 2.5 hours to do so. YOU do the math. That's 5 moves.

*sigh* I'm never getting celerity. *sniffles*

I agree - PA drivers suck. I mean - I hate Jersey drivers since i'm from NY . . . but at least we have a mutual enemy in PA.

However New England drivers are the fucking worst. I'd rather drive the GSP blindfolded than drive through CT or Mass.

I can say with official certainty, I'll take a Pennsyltuckian driver over a Kentuckian driver ANY day of the year. I will state for the record that Kentucky got its reputation for stupidity for very good reasons. A river is NOT enough seperation for security.

Blurgh, sorry to hear about your driving incident

Now me, I hate almost all drivers, (In a Not personal, "its not you, its me way) Give me a horse and buggy anyday

And forget it if some truck is driving down the road with unsecured anything in the cab

Ten years since my accident, -cough- Not like um, I'm bitter or anything :)

The short version of the story is that during Rush Hour on 84 East (past waterbury CT) I was a passenger in a big boat of a car

Up ahead, two car lengths away the car in front of us slammed on the breaks, coming to a complete stop, we diddnt know why until a few seconds later, the driver of the car I was in swerved all over the place, barely missing a few other cars

We saw that up ahead there were several big boxes strewn all over the road which was causing chaos (The boxes had been on the back of a truck, and were not secured in any way)

Driver of the car I was in swerved this way and that, hitting another car which sent her spinning into the meridian, where she came to a stop facing west, We somehow managed to drive head on into the guard rail at 60+ mph

If that were not bad enough, the driver was not wearing her seat belt, and was thrown on top of me

I wound up spraining my lower back, being on crutches and in an imobilizer until spring (this happened on March 1, 1996) and was lucky to walk away from the mess with re-injured knees, gaps between the vertabrae in my lower back and neck, siatica issues, etc

Yeah ;/

I really wish I had learned to drive BEFORE all this had happened, because I think it would have been easier for me to get back into a car

But unfortunately, that wasnt the case
Later that summer I was in another accident (we were rear-ended by someone behind us who was going far too fast)

there were times we would drive home to CT after visiting out here in NY and I would be reduced to a slobbering mass of tears when we would hit Danbury and everyone would suddenly lose their minds

Its better these days, as long as the person driving is paying attention to what they are doing, and arent driving too much over the speed limit

People drive like their asses in Danbury! I live about 10 minutes from there (safely in NY, though) and I HATE going there. At least 3 people MUST run every red light; five if they are making a left turn. And they fly on 84 only to slam on their breaks for one reason or none at all. My father works in New Haven, I don't know how he hasn't pulled his own demolition derby out there just to get revenge.

PA drivers are okay in PA. I think NJ scares them. I think NY / NJ / PA drivers don't like driving outside of their state, so they drive bad once they cross the border.

Heh. having learned to drive on the south side of chicago, in areas where the cops felt it most prudent NOT to patrol, I think drivers everywhere are incompetent and wimpy.

My memory of driving in NJ tho was flyin down the turnpike in my rental car, around 5pm or so, heading back to my hotel from Lincoln Park, jammin to Darude's Sandstorm, then suddenly looking down at my speedometer and realizing that NJ's finest probably wouldn't appreciate the fact that I was exceeding 100mph there...nope....probably not...

you were on the turnpike?

they'd hardly notice then ;)
