Holy hell.

synnoveaevaelSo last night, I came home and putzed about. Ate half a pint of Ben & Jerry's. Decided I needed more food, so during WoW, I made some spaghetti.
Angel hair pasta and cracked open a fresh jar of Marinara sauce. Yes. Jarred sauce.
It was tasty. Like usual.
Continued to play.
Became flushed. Felt... strange. Then it hits.
HEARTBURN.
Agonizing. I ate Mylanta pills, Gas-X, and finally a wanna-be version of Zantac.
I felt like I'd drank battery acid. It was awful. My back hurt so bad, my stomach was twisting, it SUCKED.
I went to bed. Around midnight. Could not sleep. Rolled around sweating and freezing. My goosebumps had goosebumps. I didn't have the AC on.
Finally went to sleep around 2:30am. Threw up THREE times in between.
Not for nothing? Throwing up angel hair pasta BLOWS.
After the third time, I felt... Like nothing had ever been wrong. I got all the pasta and sauce out of me and I was fine.
WHYY did this happen? The pasta was fine. The sauce was brand new out of the jar. I'd had the ice cream the night before and I was fine.
What gives?? Can you really get heartburn so bad you throw up three times? Get feverish?
Last time I had red sauce & pasta I got a mild case of heartburn. I've had red sauce since, but usually with bread. So I guess I can't eat straight pasta & red sauce? It's too much for my stomach?
I don't think I have an ulcer or anything. But goddamn, I was wondering last night.
*sigh*
Crap. I have to go. Some lady is dying, Brian sat on the prepwork too long, and now I have to rush doing documents I have no clue about. I get to teach myself how to do a living trust today!

Date: 2007-09-13 03:00 pm (UTC)Seriously though, jarred tomato sauce causes some SERIOUS issues because there is natural acid in the sauce. Natural acid + stomach acid = Heartburn from hell.
There were times where I would have to make myself sick to give myself relief. I'm probably going to start taking Prilosec OTC for the 14 day course. That shit is weird. You take it for 14 days and PRESTO Heartburn is gone for a few months. I have to do it again after four months.
Tis the suck. Pepcid AC works WONDERS. :-)
