OH HAI THAR. I just realized the date. December 15th. Would have been my parent's 29th anniversary. It was on this date about 16 years ago I realized I was a bastard. We were in the car and she's like "oh hai thar, it would have been your father's & my anniversary today". I, not being a complete dullard, thought my mother was shotgunning it down the aisle.

She was adamant. No no no. Not shotguns. "MOTHER! I ARE NOT STOOPIDZ! I CAN HAS MATH!" Then she kindly mentioned I was 6 months old and at the reception. Ha.

So anytime she tries to blame me (comedically) for marrying my father, I say "*I* had nothing to do with it! *I* was already here! What's with the marriage?!!" heh.

Anyrate. I blame Shira. Survey of depressingness, here we come.

1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Oooh... I'm sure there are quite a few things. One glares to mind, but that's nobody's business. Let's see. OH! I filed for unemployment. Ha.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't believe in them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Everyone I fucking know got knocked up or birthed spawn. Jesus. November was particularly prolific.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yep. :( Way to start the year off right. I miss you, Grandpa.

5. What countries did you visit?
Pennsic. HAHAHAH. Just the US this go around.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A job that pays me a liveable amount and appreciates me and I actually truly enjoy. Something I'd look forward to going to in the morning.

January 6; June 19; July 18 (not cause of my birthday); October 4; November 17;

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting fired! HAHA! No. Not really.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Oh, that whole losing whatever made a 3 year relationship work. Losing my job. Shit like that.

BOY HOWDIE did I! Fucking gall bladder. Mostly useless piece of shit.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Ehrm. Did I buy anything? I think with all the doctor crap I didn't really have the ability to get fun things. I can't recall. This might be a lie.

Not mine. Ha. Dood, most of my friends were feckin' awesome. Let's vote them.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My ex-boss. HA. But they did that for years. Nothing new and different.

Doctors. Debt. Bills. My life is awesome.

Uhm. I'm trying. Wait. No. I don't know. This is for 2009? I have no idea. Finding a job that likes me and I like it? I have no idea.

Ehrm. I don't know. Maybe something off of Rock Band or Guitar Hero? LOL

Sadder, but I'd set the bar pretty high last year.

Smaller! HOLY CRAP! I'm down like, 12 pounds from last year. That's 12 pounds that have managed to stay off my ass! *booty dance*

*watches moths fly out of wallet and sees red pen all in her checkbook* *cue Hallmark answer* I'm richer because of my friends?

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I don't know. Prolly having sex. I seem to be making up for it now.

Cried.

Prolly down by my aunt's. She's the only one who seems enthusiastic about wanting me.

July was good. I had drugs, and my Cali girl and a party.

I don't think so. But I never seem to know these things until I just blurt them out. Ask any of my ex's. I'm kind of stupid like that.

Hm. Grey's Anatomy? Heroes? I don't know. OHOH! Andrew & Pippi have gotten me into House a lil' bit. :)

24. How did you see in the New Year?
Hmm... I think this past year's was at Z's. This year? I have no idea. I'm torn between 3 states.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't hate anyone. Still.

26. What was the best book you read?
I have no idea. I read the Twilight series, the new J.R. Ward, Gerald's Game, Snuff, a ton of romance novels. Currently on my plate is the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which Andrew gleefully handed me. I couldn't get through the movie. Let's hope I get through the book.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Uhm. Hmm... I ponder. I don't think I've gotten into anything new. Jared's shown me a new appreciation for Muse though.

28. What did you want and get?
To have sex! Got it. Aside from that I have no idea. I suck at this meme.

29. What did you want and not get?
A significant raise, a marriage, a live in fiancé/husband. Eh. Whatever.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Hmmm. I liked Zack & Miri. The new James Bond was good. Twilight didn't fail from the book as bad as I thought it would. Prince Caspian was goot. OH DUH! Iron Man pwned. So did Dark Knight. Okay, I'm tired of reading through the list of films released in 2008.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 29 for the first time. I picked Tia & Dave up from the airport at SUCK O'CLOCK. Napped. Woke up and it was still my birthday. Went to Q's with the crew. It was good times.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having my relationship fall to shit. Not getting fired. Not having to have had surgery.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Comfie.

34. What kept you sane?
My friends. Some of my family.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Ehrm. I still like Angelina Jolie even though I want to feed her.

I hate polyticks. The election was delightful though.

When a door closes, there's a window open. So we have something to jump out of.

Perhaps I should put clothes on. Hmm.

Oh, I watched 13th Warrior from start to finish last night (I've seen most of the movie, just in chunks, but Jared owns it, so wth). And I saw Stepbrothers. Good god. I figured out why I want to shiv Will Farrel. He looks like a less bald version of my old boss.
