So, today, as you well know if you're in Jersey, was a STUNNING day of perty.

Weather was great. So, I decided, "Self. Instead of sticking yer arse on the human hamster wheel, why not walk OUTSIDE?"

And I said to me "But. Where would we go?"

At the same time we said "AHA! Grandpa's!"

So. I went to my grandfather's very flat neighborhood where I grew up. :)

I figured I could visit him a bit, and then go for a walkie walk. Which, I did.

I told him some of the stuff going on in mah world and he told me how yesterday was a better day for him than today, but he still looked pretty good today :)

He said my Uncle Ro isn't doing well AT all. Tis a pity, really. Very sad. :(

So, I went upstairs to change into my gym clothes, and when I came back down, he said:

"Those are your gym clothes? You look so cute!" (I have never heard my grandfather refer to me over the age of 5 as cute. I was wearing my Pennsic T-shirt and my black stretch pants and sneakers)

He also said, which I thought was sweet "You're not planning on pushing yourself too hard are you?"

"No, Grandpa. I don't do effort."

"Oh, good. Cause you're gorgeous the way you are. You don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise, you hear? Your grandmother was a curvy lady, but she was the most adorable thing I'd ever seen" (huge grin on his face).

I told him if I do lose weight, it's because I'm supposed to (seeing how I eat tons of salads and walk and stuff and I do nothing but get sick to my stomach. Oh how the gods hate me.) and that I just really want to make sure my heart stays clear and happy. Cause, ya know. I sit at a desk a lot.

He thinks this is wise. Cause moving is good for you. He's impressed by my cholesterol and blood pressure numbers.

His neighbor then came over (he refers to them as The Polacks. I find this amusing since HE'S 100% Polish. But they still have their accents. So, that makes all the difference.) They wanted to borrow some space in his driveway, which he of course agreed to.

He sent me off with a bottle of water. :)

I walked for a little bit over a half an hour. Maybe longer? I don't know. I didn't feel tired, and I enjoyed the scenery. I would so love a house in this neighborhood.

There is a decent lot of land for each house, and pools!! So many have pools. And basketball hoops all over. Families playing badmitton together.

Just.

Suburbia at it's finest.

THEN! Jared had dinner for me when I walked home. Yum. :D :D

It was a good day.

So, beyond all the drama in life. We have our good days.

I like Suburbia. I don't entirely have it, but I want it.
