You get a blast from the past.

A friend of mine's wife just emailed me.

She's throwing a surprise birthday party for him.

My jaw about DROPPED seeing her name in my inbox.

I mean, I went to the wedding, but I thought she hated me because of stuff with her husband.

MIND YOU, I didn't do anything, but he didn't exactly have his head screwed on straight for a while there. She thought I might have been a part of that, I suppose.

I can't say I blame her.

I'm just kinda shocked she emailed me, responded, and sounded genuinely hopeful that I'd make it.

I mean, if I were her, and knowing what she saw between others, I wouldn't believe him when he said I wasn't involved... I mean, for close to a decade now, there was insane sexual tension between us. She doesn't know how strong my convictions are though.

But I'm sure that's all past. Haven't really talked to him in five years. An email or IM here and there, that's about it.

I can't wait to see him though. And their baby. Who's not such a baby anymore.
