I still need to go to Chilton after I see Dr. Baboul to get a chest xray. And once Dr. Teehan gives me the okay, I need to get an appointment for the surgery.

It is apparently a same day laproscopic surgery. I will get kicked out if I'm doing okay that same day. Bastards. Then it's an approximate 4 day recovery time.

I DEMAND PAMPERING FOR THOSE FOUR DAYS!

I'm sure I'll get it.

But seriously. I am sort of nervous, but like. Not really? I don't think it's HIT me yet that this is really happening to me.

Take your pain meds after the surgery. Don't let them wear off at all. I let that happen because I didn't want to get up in the middle of the night to take them, and I regretted it mightily! It was really stupid of me to do because I really wanted to die. I knew it would hurt but I had no idea just how bad it was going to be. The docs fill your insides with gas, but it doesn't feel like typical gas pains. It feels more like thousands of pounds of weight sitting on you.

The worst for me was that I couldn't sleep with Biff for a few nights.

Get a knee pillow. Side sleeping might work better than back sleeping.

if i sleep on my side, i'll roll over to my bellie. the last time i was in the hospital and hooked up to an iv, i kept having to be woken up in the middle of the night to NOT turn over. since i kept trying. heh.

Mine too! But I also have the other two scars (one over my appendix which they were there to liquefy and suck out and one over my pelvic bone which is where they flushed me out like a dirty wash bowl). I had the scars from the camera clamps for a year or two but those are long faded now.
