Watership Down! That's sooo depressing. You make children of all ages cry. Thousands of children each year develop PTSD after being forced to read you. Maybe I'm off about that - I haven't seen or read it since I was a kid.
myself, still "The Guns of August". Guns do kill, but so can diplomats. I thought this is partially in error over the question of focus - America vs The World. They seemed to believe that if you are not focused on America, then you are focused on Europe, as if that were the whole world. I tend to focus on The World, en toto, including, but not exclusive to America & Europe. However, this time I tried selecting America instead of the World, and still came up "The Guns of August". There's just no getting away from the truth. ... what you really want to know is what causes war.
