My dental appointment isn't till *next* Wednesday.

Whoops.

So I took an impromptu trip to the Grandpa's.

He's looking good. I'm sure he feels lousy. But he's putting up a good front.

i don't have dental insurance. i'm so poor. i have a huge bill right now. ugh.

ha. I know all about that one. I have really weak enamel, so I get cavities pretty easily, plus all of my fillings from when I was a teen are all amalgam, so those are all falling out and have to be replaced. I have more fake in my mouth than real. Anyway, when I left Tucson in late 2001 I had 6 or 7 fillings that needed to be done. I have not even had a cleaning since then. I was too stupid to take advantage of the dental insurance I had while I was at the bank : (

i stay pretty on top of things, i got lucky teef wise. my aunt has terrible teeth. i have deep caverns in my molars though, so i get cavities *reaaally* easily. i had sealants in there for a long time, but they pop out too. bah.

oh, not me. they put a special appliance in to spread my teeth out cause there was no room for my baby teeth to fall out on their own. they pulled a few too, then i had to have braces for there to be enough room in my mouth for all of my adult teeth, but my wisdom teeth still impacted and had to be cut out.

i still have all my wisdom teef. the top two came in fine, the bottom two are impacted. one hasn't even broken the skin, but the other on the bottom is fucking shit up. *rawr*

i had a whole bunch of orthodontics done to me. they widened my jaw, they pulled my lower jaw forward (all but fixing my cleft chin) and then the whole braces thing. my teeth are far from perfect, but they're not the nightmare they'd have been if i'd had NO braces.

mine are better than the teeth of some of my ex boyfriends, but because i stopped wearing my retainers WAY too soon, my two front teeth overlapped and one looks longer than the other because of it.

they had to shatter all four of my wisdom teeth to get them out, i have chips from the bottom too inside my gums still, it's annoying : (

UGH! totally annoying. *cringe*

one of my ex's has terrible teeth, and the other, his teeth are PERFECT. no cavities, all straight, but his GUMS are a disaster.

my current boyfriend's teeth would be fine if he didn't marinate them in soda. now that we've gotten him into a constant "after you brush your teeth at night NO MORE SODA" regime, he's better. he's got tons of fillings.

hahahahaha i have the "you're going to snack, why are you brushing your teeth?!" conversation with the viceroy all of the time.

my very first boyfriend in highschool had nice teeth and even if he didn't, he's a millionare now and could buy nice teeth.

every guy since then has had HORRIBLE teeth, except for the viceroy. his are a little odd because he has the world's smallest mouth, but they're straight. he, like me, had various braces and other things to make more room.

three good examples: my highschool boyfriend was hit by a car when he was 13 and that shattered most of his teeth but then his dad never took him to get them fixed or ripped out. a few years ago he started working on getting them fixed but the whole time we were together i had to listen to him complain that i could eat crunchy and he couldn't. i felt bad for him but he resented me for his teeth. then i dated joe#1 (or ex-ex-joe) who's family was from england and his teeth were appropriately and stereotypically nasty. i don't think he's ever had them fixed. then my ex-husband, who was raised in a very poor family that didn't know the first thing about brushing and flossing, so much so, that he now hates the taste of toothpaste and will only use the ones made for kids that taste like fruit or bubblegum. he had three or four teeth pulled while we were together and has had one or two pulled since then.

visiting the grandparents is always good. i want to start walking to see mine, they live a mile away down the road. Trying to make an effort to do the exercise thing this summer, that kills two birds with one stone yay.
