I know what some of you look like. A few of y'all never shy away from posting photos of yourself. Many of you though I know only through icons, images of things, places, people that aren't you. I suppose there are reasons for this but...

If you would be so kind and bold, go ahead and post a full size photo of yourself in the comments. I could think of a number of reasons to justify this but the main one is that I am simply curious. I like to know what people look like!

I am shamelessly stealing this idea from several people on my friends list who posted it yesterday in their journals. The response was really good and it was nice to scroll through the comments and see actual real faces behind the user names, even if I didn't recognize the names.

Great idea for a meme, btw. I thought about doing this on my LJ, but then I realized that of my 104 LJ friends, I've met all but nine of them in person. And even then, two of those nine accounts are owned by the same person I've never met.

Regarding narcissism, I've actually thought about doing the 365 Days project on Flickr, but I can't figure out 365 views of myself that will be at all flattering. Though I think that's the point of the project.

I can be serious! Actually it's how I scare people away. pallagia says that I have this glare that I give people when I'm not in the mood to be fucked with. Apparently the glare is really frightening, though I can't do it intentionally.

I don't really like my smile very much, so when taking pictures of myself I usually opt for the serious look.

Bill is a cousin through marriage and that's where he's from. The rest of my family is from PA!
